Take Off for a Weekend with These Deals and Packages

Getting away for a weekend can be quite easy with all of the deals and packages available through the South.

Here’s a quick sampling of what you can find.

  • Foodies take note of the Epicurean Escape package offered by Biltmore Hotel (map) in Coral Gables, Fla. Through September 30, this package includes a 20 percent savings on Biltmore Culinary Academy classes, 20 percent savings on dining, an in-room arrival amenity and much more. A two-night minimum stay is required and some restrictions do apply.
  • How about getting paid $50 to stay for a weekend? Well, okay, Francis Marion Hotel (map) in Charleston, S.C., may not be offering real money, but the two $25 gift certificates are good to use at either one of the nearby restaurants or nightlife venues, or on property. Better act fast to book the Charleston Getaway Deal, since it’s good through September 30.
  • And speaking about getting paid for visiting, both Beaches of South Walton and Panama City Beach, Fla., are offering some incentive to get you to spend time at their beautiful beaches. Stay at one of the participating properties throughout the Beaches of South Walton by September 30, and receive either a $250 gift card to Silver Sands Factory Stores or for Southwest Airlines. Panama City Beach has introduced REAL.FUN.REWARDS. that encourages you to book a little longer getaway through August 30. Stay at one of their participating hotels for three nights and receive a $50 AMEX gift card. Stay four nights and get a $100 AMEX gift card. If you stay for five nights or longer, you get a $200 AMEX gift card.
  • Thinking about visiting D.C.? If so, you definitely want to check out the different deals offered by various properties.
  • Through December 31, stay one night (Thursday –Saturday) at Sheraton Waterside Hotel (map) in Norfolk, Va., at the regular rate, and received the 40 percent off the next night. This deal is good through December 31 and you must use Code ZB4 to book.
  • Check out Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach (Fla.) Resort and Spa’s (map) Explore package. This features a Caladesi Island Cruise with Dolphin Encounter for two, and much more.
  • Yes, there’s still time to book Wilderness in the Smokies’ (map) in Seiverville, Tenn., buy-two-night-and-get-the-third-night free. This deal is good on one-bedroom deluxe units and is available through September 2.
  • Various properties along Amelia Island, Fla., are offering Labor Day packages. For instance, Addison on Amelia (map) the Dog Days of Summer special that features a free night when you stay four or more nights (good through September 30.) The Amelia Island Williams House (map) is offering a free third night when you stay two nights through September.
  • Celebrate the end of summer in style at Jekyll Island (Ga.) Club Hotel (map) with their special. Good through September 2, buy one night and receive the second night free.
