Over the years, I’ve had to travel fairly regularly for business to attend seminars, conferences and events and there have been times when a number of things decreased my enjoyment of the trip. Many times, the organizing committee has to chose a hotel based on how many rooms it will have available during certain dates, their ability (and willingness) to accommodate a large group and the property’s facilities. Occasionally, other groups book the hotel for the same time period which can be confusing and irritating since their activities might be planned for similar times which can result in the wrong people wandering in to the wrong meeting room or talking to the wrong people. As if that isn’t enough, the hotel might have other guests who poke around trying to figure out if your event is something the hotel is offering.

The Bentley London Waldorf Astoria Collection is launching their “private hotel” option in hopes of attracting groups who want (and/or need) a little more privacy.
Now, groups can take over the hotel completely during their stay which is great because the personal service can be geared entirely to specific needs and requests, as well as enhancing security for the guests. This might be particularly important during summits, official visits and the upcoming 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London.
Travelers trust the Waldorf name to be synonymous with luxury, great service and top-notch facilities so this concept is probably going to be very well received.
There are six different suite categories for guests to choose from: Deluxe Room, Junior Suite, Ashburn Suite, Harrington Suite, Presidential Suite, Royal Suite and Imperial Suite. The property also features three in-house kitchens (including personal chefs) and Le Kalon Spa which, along with the fitness room, which can be access by private elevator on each floor, allowing guests to bypass the public lobby – which is important if you’re moving around the hotel in slippers and a robe!
