Hotel Fouquet’s Barrière’s Eco-Friendly Luxury

While I enjoy opulence and elegance, I don’t want it at the expense of the environment and many of today’s travelers feel the same way.  Fortunately, places like Paris’ Hotel Fouquet’s Barrière understand that one doesn’t have to cancel out the other – it is possible to enjoy a luxury vacation without damaging the environment.

The five-star hotel has created a new offer centered entirely around environmental awareness and its very own concept of Dignified Luxury.  The Hotel Fouquet’s Barrière is offering their new “Very Important Planet” package which includes:

  • Accommodation in a luxurious room or suite
  • Special “Fitness Breakfast” for two (includes freshly squeezed fruit or vegetable juice, an egg white omelet, multi-grain bread and a blend of pumpkin, linseed, sunflower and sesame seeds)
  • One 50-minute natural oil treatment at the hotel’s U Spa, per person
  • Organic lunch for two at the hotel’s Joy Gallery
  • A bottle of eco-friendly Pop Earth Champagne in-room upon arrival
  • Carbon off-setting (through the non-profit organization “Action Carbone”).

Guests can enjoy organic produce at Le Diane, whisking around the city on one of the hotel’s electrically run E-solex bikes or enjoying the hotel’s fair trade flowers and fruit juices.  It’s an all-around eco-friendly experience.  Doesn’t it sound great?

The deal is available through December 28, 2010 and is based on double occupancy and is priced from $1,436 USD.  Guests have the option of a room upgrade and transfer in the hotel’s hybrid limousine available upon request.  For more information visit www.fouquets-barriere.com.
