June is finally here and we have some tempting events lined up for you. It’s time for Palm Beach restaurant week to kick off, and Coral Gable’s is not far behind. From dining out to a bridal extravaganza, there’s something that is sure to strike your fancy.
Spinach Salad at Four Seasons
From now until June 5, it’s Nicky’s week at RA Sushi. Dine at your local RA Sushi, and order off the special menu and 100% of the proceeds will go to benefit St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital. These include Edamame, Shrimp Nigiri, Tootsy Maki, Pork Gyoza, FUJI Water and more. Ask your server for the full list.
June 1 – September 30 — The island of Palm Beach kicked off Palm Beach Restaurant Summer. Participating restaurants will offer a $20.10 3-course lunch deal and at $35 3-course dinner deal. Restaurants participating include Bice, Café Boulud, Café Cellini, Charley’s Crab, The Four Seasons, The Leopard Lounge & Restaurant at The Chesterfied, COCO Palm Beach, Echo, Michelle Bernstein at The Omphoy, Renato’s, Temple Orange at the Ritz-Carlton, and The Breakers’ Flagler Steakhouse, Italian Restaurant and Seafood Bar.
Friday, June 4 — It’s the kick-off party for Coral Gables Restaurant Week. Come on down to Coral Gables to get a taste of what the restaurants will be offering. Vote for your favorite dish, dance to the live music and enjoy a cocktail or two. Best of all — proceeds will go to benefit Feeding South Florida. The party takes place from 6:00-8:00 pm and costs only $10 in advance ($15 at the door). Festivities will take place at 65 Miracle Mile, Coral Gables.
Friday, June 4 — It’s time to vote for your favorite burger during the first annual Burger Battle hosted by Riverwalk Trust. Local restaurants will compete on their creativity and grilling skills to see who can create the best burger. Cocktails, burgers and a whole lot of fun will be in store during this exciting evening. Local restaurants participating include Pier 66, Johnny V, Morton’s , The Capital Grill and more. A group will of local celebrity judges will name the best burger, a fan favorite will also be chosen and a slider eating contest will take place. Tickets are $30 in advance, $40 at the door and festival-foers will get an variety of burger samples, along with 3 drink tickets. Saturday, June 5 — Ready to bring back memories of the 1970’s? Then get your tickets to go to The Bank Atlantic Center this Saturday. James Taylor and Carole King will make a stop offering you a trip down memory lane. Tickets are priced between $35-$50 and the show begins at 8:00 p.m.
Sunday, June 6 — Is it time to plan your dream wedding? The Miami Beach Convention Center is the place that you will want to be this upcoming weekend. On Sunday, the Bridal Show Extravaganza will take place, and you’re sure to find everything you’ll need for your special day in one place. Plus, designer gowns will be on sale for 70% off. Cost to attend is $7 for the bride, and $5 for guests. The show will take place from 1:00-4:00 pm at the Miami Beach Convention Center, 1901 Convention Center Dr. (map)
