With summer giving one last blast of hot air, thoughts turn to wet water parks, and thankfully, Walt Disney World Resort offers guests two — Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. Visiting Splashtown San Antonio
Splashtown is one of San Antonio’s local family water parks. Located on over 20 acres, the park has 40 waterslides and tube rides, plus a half-million gallon wave pool — the largest in south Texas.
In addition to the action, visitors can also enjoy the Siesta Del Ride, which is a 1/4 mile long lazy river ride. It’s perfect if you are looking for a relaxing day in the sun. There is also Kid’s Kove with a huge area for young kids which features scaled down rides.
