Malibu is an ideal setting to celebrate Easter weekend. On Pacific Coast Highway’s long stretch, there is nothing but endless ocean on one side and green hills that house the most fabulous multi-story homes on the other. It is also where many dine at elegant restaurants for fresh seafood while taking in the ocean view. However, their numerous beach parks are what brings most visitors. This weekend, Malibu Bluffs Park will be hosting two events:
1. Easter Hoppening
There will be a myriad of activities for children to choose from:
- Free egg hunt (children must bring their own basket)
- Inflatable bounce house ($1 admission)
- Reptile Show
- Photos with the Easter Bunny
- KidzArt sponsored arts & crafts
- Cartoon artist Larry Scott
- Games & Prizes
- Stuff & Dress a collectible animal
Date & Time: Saturday, April 3, 2010 11:30am-1pm; The Egg Hunt will take place at 12pm sharp!
2. Wildflower Show
Brought to you by the California Native Plant Society (CNPS) and the City of Malibu Parks and Recreation Department, the Wildflower Show is a unique destination for your Easter weekend. Experience a guided wildflower walk-available daily at 1pm. Or view some of the native plants that will also be for sale. You can learn while you enjoy the variety of wildflowers local to the Malibu area.
Date & Time: April 3-4, 2010, 10am-4pm
Also, Moonshadows in Malibu will be featuring a special Easter Brunch menu also covered by Planet Eye!
Price: Admission to both events are FREE
Location: Malibu Bluffs Park, 24250 Pacific Coast Highway, Malibu, CA

Easter egg hunts are just plain fun, and tasty (especially if the eggs are chocolate or filled with candies). Okay, it’s even great to seek out painted eggs of the hard-boiled variety (sort of). Anyway if you haven’t been invited to a private event, there’s still time to join one of...

Kids love the colorful eggs of Easter, but no matter how many eggs you dye, there is still room for more. My kids in their teens or higher, but the still love getting out the crayons to draw pictures and designs on the eggs before dipping them in those colorful cups of watery dye. If you have Easter...
