The Dawn Princess World Cruise arrived in Dubai just before the end of the Dubai’s designated cruise season. Dune-bashing in the desert
... heard of it until I found myself in the back of an off-road vehicle sliding sideways down the side of a sand dune somewhere in the desert outside Dubai. Dune-bashing has become a popular sport in almost all Arabic countries, including the United Arab Emirates and Oman. Essentially, it involves driving off the highway and into the desert for a roller-coaster of a ride up and down and around sand dunes.
