July 30th is National Cheesecake Day, Win a $25 Cheesecake Factory Gift Card!

Did you know that this Thursday, July 30th, is National Cheesecake Day? It is!

We have a Cheesecake Factory location right here in Denver, CO at 1201 16th St # 100. Have you been there? Well, this Thursday would be the perfect day to check it out. I’ll be there!

The Cheesecake Factory is helping us all celebrate this day by offering those who dine-in half price on 30 of their delicious cheesecakes. On July 30th, you can celebrate the day by dining-in and enjoying a little slice of heaven.

And while you are thinking about that little slice of heaven, take a quick look at what’s going on at The Cheesecake Factory events page on Facebook. I just became a fan because I love both cheesecake and The Cheesecake Factory.

The Cheesecake Factory will also introduce their new flavor: Stefanie’s Ultimate Red Velvet Cake Cheesecake. Yum!

Also, for every slice of Stefanie’s Ultimate Red Velvet Cake Cheesecake sold over the next 12 months, The Cheesecake Factory will donate 25 cents to Feeding America, the nation’s largest domestic hunger relief charity.

In celebration of National Cheesecake Day and everything The Cheesecake Factory is doing, I have one $25 gift card to The Cheesecake Factory to give away. Here are the rules of the contest:

  • First entry: Leave a comment on this post telling me if you have ever been to The Cheesecake Factory.

Wine and Chocolate for Lovers

You can’t beat the combination of chocolate and wine for the month of romance. Three Sisters Vineyards in Dahlonega has an annual Wine and Chocolate Lovers celebration the first three weekends in February, from 1 -5 p.m. If you’re just passing through, try the $12 wine tasting in the tasting room. You’ll get a few chocolates, the wine and a glass. But if you’re serious about it, make a reservation for the special $25 tasting, held in the winery itself. Here they have hand-dipped chocolates (strawberries, pretzels, etc.) from the Fudge Factory in Dahlonega and special truffles from Connecticut. The tasting includes a chocolate cup with Three Sister’s Georgia Port, and a special double chocolate cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory.

“A lot of people in Atlanta are unaware that we have wineries in Georgia,” says owner Doug Paul. “There are some wonderful people all over the state dedicated to the craft.” Three Sisters Vineyards is a founding member of the Georgia Wine Council. Situated on 184 acres between Dahlonega and Cleveland, the vineyard cultivates Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir, Touriga, Cynthiana-Norton and Vidal Blanc producing about 3000 cases a year. Wine Spectator gave Three Sisters Vineyards 2000 Merlot the highest rating of all Georgia wines the the Wine Across America issue. Turner South named Three Sisters Blue Ribbon’s “Best Winery in The South.” Ritz-Carlton-Georgia Trend named Three Sisters Vineyards Georgia Port – “Best Georgia Dessert Wine” in 2007 and 2008.

If you want in on the special tasting – get your reservations, they’re booking up fast. Driving directions (about an hour and 15 minutes north on Georgia 400) are on their website.
