See the Best of the Best in Military Aviation
... the Air Force Thunderbirds scream overhead at the annual Joint Service Open House at Edwards Air Force Base in Camp Springs, Maryland. Besides the Blue Angels, watch the Army’s Golden Knights parachute team, the military’s most high-tech helicopters, vintage war birds and acrobatic flyers as they put on one heck of show that demonstrates the power of the US Air Force and  it’s rich aviation history. Photo Op: Blue Angels at SeaFair 2009

Details:  This great photo was taken during one of this year’s practice shows with the US Navy’s Blue Angels.  The arching, formed by the contrails on the five planes, made a rainbow in the sky.  No matter how many times I’ve seen this precision flying, it never fails to take my breath away. How do they do it? Photo credit: jodyci @flickr Tags: air show, Blue Angels, Events, Family Friendly, People Watching, precision flying, Seafair, Seattle, Shopping, US Navy ...

It;s tough to get the Blue Angels on video, but this video from a few years back, does a pretty good job. Tags: air show, avaition,...

... weekend!  And that means there’s going to be plenty of noise around town – on land, sea, and in the air.  It just isn’t SeaFair without the Blue Angels. One of the highlights of SeaFair over the years, has been the air show, and the appearance of the United States Navy’s Blue Angels.  You can catch them on hydroplane race day, of course, but there also several practices where the crowds will be a little easier to navigate. This is precision flying at its very, very, best, and while I’ve...
