Money Saving Deals in Houston

I am a bargain hunter from way back. I can’t help it – I just know a good deal when I see one. The only thing better than running across a good deal is having good deals delivered right to your door…or in my case, my Facebook and Twitter feeds. If you aren’t taking advantage of online group coupon deals you are missing out on all kinds of great savings on everything from food to fitness classes. How do they work? Group coupons are “deal-of-the-day” coupons that are offered online, where savings are offered on a product or service provided that a certain number of people sign up to receive those savings within an allotted amount of time (usually 24 hours). You can purchase these deals for yourself, or as a gift for someone else. Not in Houston? Sign up for the city you are in, or that you are traveling to; when I travel I always check the group coupon websites for deals in my destination city.

Whether your New Year’s resolution is to get fit, eat better, try new things or save money, online group coupon deals can help you meet your goals. Here are my three favorites:

I have found deals on everything from yoga classes to housekeeping services through Groupon Houston. I have saved up to 75% on products and services using Groupon online coupons. Follow them on Twitter and Facebook to stay up to date on the daily deal in your city.

Get Grouby

Get Grouby follows a model similar to Groupon, but Get Grouby is local to Houston having started here in May 2010. Get Grouby has expanded to include other cities from Atlanta to Seattle with plenty in-between. For Houston-centric folks Get Grouby sets itself apart by offering location-specific options for the city; choose from North Houston, Houston, Galveston or Sugarland-SW Houston. There are national deals offered as well. Follow Get Grouby on Twitter and Facebook for updates on daily deals.

Living Social Deals

Last – but not least – I use Living Social Deals to scout out great deals in Houston, or in whatever city I’m visiting at the moment. Living Social is on Facebook and Twitter, and they also deliver the daily deal directly to your email inbox after you create an account on their website. One feature I like about Living Social is “Share for a Free Deal”; after you sign up for a deal the site generates a unique URL for you to share and if three people sign up using your link you receive that deal for free.
