Music on a Midsummer’s Night

If you’re looking for a unique way to immerse yourself in the arts, Houston’s highly-regarded CANTARE choral group is teaming up with the Museum of Fine Arts Houston for “Music on a Midsummer’s Night”.  MFAH curator Helga Aurisch will lead a guided walking tour of the museum; as she shares information about the artwork, the CANTARE singers will provide accompaniment from the same era.  These concerts are have a limited capacity of 100 guests per show, and tickets remain on sale.

What: CANTARE & Museum of Fine Arts Houston Walking Tour “Music on a Midsummer’s Night”.

When: Friday August 20th & Saturday August 21st; 7:30 PM – 10:30 PM each night.

Where: Museum of Fine Arts Houston, 1001 Bissonnet St. (map); Audrey Jones Beck Building.

Tickets & Information: Tickets are $50 each and include the tour, as well as a wine and hors d’oeuvres reception.  You can purchase tickets online; call CANTARE at 713.724.9648 or the MFAH at 713.639.7300.  Paid parking is available across the street from the museum, which is also accessible by light rail, via the Museum District station.
