BYOC Gaming Festival 2010 in New Delhi

The 13th BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer) Computer and Gaming festival is being hosted in New Delhi. This year the World’s No 1 professional gaming team Fnatic.msi will be participating. During the event, you‘ll actually have the opportunity to challenge Fnatic.msi. All in all, 60 hours of non-stop gaming related activities will take place. You can even attend workshops and seminars to learn more about the gaming world. The top prize is a trip for five gamers to Beijing for MSI Global Gaming “Beat It” on 4th September. Even if you aren’t in this league there are other monetary prizes ranging from Rs. 20,000 ($ 400) to Rs. 5,000 ($ 100).

If you want to participate, make sure you bring:

  • PC/Laptop
  • Power Cables of CPU, Monitor.
  • Keyboard, mice, headphone, etc.
  • Power Spikes.

You can even bring a console, such as the Sony PlayStation.

When compared to the gaming industry in Japan, the United States, and the United Kingdom, the gaming industry in India is not as developed. In the recent past, it has shown tremendous growth. With the IT revolution taking place in India, gaming is slowly catching up. The younger generation takes the lead in this department. However, gaming as a career is still a far cry.
