Cakes With Attitude: Kick*ss Cupcakes

Kickass Cupcakes. The name pretty much says it all. These are simply Boston’s best cupcakes, made with the best all-natural ingredients and lots of butter.  Located in Sommerville, a city just a few miles northwest of Boston, Kickass typifies its off beat neighborhood- with unique cupcake flavors.

The cupcake menu includes every day flavors like chocolate and vanilla, as well seasonal, limited edition versions. Crave chocolate? Go for the Mochiatto a chocolate cupcake with a caramel center, mocha frosting and chocolate -covered espresso beans.   The Lucky Cupcake is a light lemon cupcake with white chocolate butter cream and tiny pieces of candied ginger and comes with an edgy fortune like If life give you lemons, that is just sad or In order to be heard, bang the drum loudly. The Red Velvet cupcake is moist deliciousness- a light cocoa cake with just-right sweet cream cheese frosting. And although boutique cupcakes are usually a girl thing, you may be able to entice your guy with the Kickass Green Monster cupcake – a chocolate cupcake with a Sam Adams ganache center and green chocolate beer frosting.

All flavors of cupcakes are $2.75.  Mini cupcakes  are available by special order and are just $1.25 each. They sell gluten-free and vegan versions of some flavors.  They even sell cute pupcakes and kittycakes ($1.75) for your four-legged friends . And specially designed cupcake boxes ensure that your cupcakes don’t get squashed.
