Free Golf for Kids at Phoenix Courses

Are you looking for an activity to keep your kids busy this summer? Try the “Kids Play Free” golf program for kids 17 and under.

Introduced by The City of Phoenix, this program is designed to encourage more families to enjoy the sport of golf and in particular introduce junior golf to local children. Kids ages 17 and under will play for free this summer when accompanied by a paid adult. Golfers can enjoy “Kids Play Free” from June 1 through August 31.

This program is an extension of the Phoenix Youth Golf Program that offers affordable golf lessons year-round to young golfers. If you want to groom your child to be the next Phil Mickelson, then consider purchasing a Junior Play Pass for only $30. This pass is good for 30 days at all Phoenix golf courses on a space available basis.

The “Kids Play Free” Program is being offered at these city of Phoenix nine-hole golf courses:

  1. Aguila Par 3, a great option for golfers who want to work on their short game.  8440 S. 35th Ave., (map) 602-237-9601
  2. Encanto Short 9, a great track for beginners and intermediate golfers with spectacular views of Piestewa Peak and the downtown Phoenix skyline.  2300 N. 17th Ave., (map) 602- 262-6870
  3. Palo Verde 9, a more challenging executive course with three par fours ranging in length from two hundred eighty-five yards to three hundred yards.  6215 N. 15th Ave., (map) 602-249-9930

Tee times can be booked online at phoenix.gov/golf or at 1-866-865-GOLF (4653). More information is available by phone at 602-262-5088.

So get out there and play a few holes with the whole family. Maybe your kids will teach you something.
