130 Craft Beers to Sample at Beer Fest
Time is running out to buy tickets for the soon-to-be sold out East Atlanta Beer Festival in Brownwood Park (map) on May 22, 2010. This year will mark the 7th annual beer fest featuring over 130 craft beers from around the word, live local bands, and tons of food from local eateries.
The East Atlanta Beer Festival, Inc. is a local organization that donates 100% of all proceeds to local non-profits and East Atlanta community improvements while creating a fun social event for the East Atlanta Village area. For those of you who have never heard of East Atlanta Village (map), it is a hipster-haven full of cool shops, music venues, restaurants, and nightlife. Live bands play in the area almost every night of the week as well as bringing in live DJs to various locations.
The East Atlanta Beer Fest brings together those who love beer, outdoor festivals, live music, food, friends, and people who like contributing to their community. This year, the new location at Brownwood Park will be better than ever, as it has received a few updates and improvements making the park better than ever.
The East Atlanta Beer Fest event started years ago when a group of friends put together their love for beer and love for showing off their community together to give people from around the Atlanta area an excuse to encounter this unique neighborhood. This year, the festival is expected to get around 4,000 attendees.

When: Saturday, May 22, 2010 from 1:00pm – 6:00 pm
Where: Brownwood Park in East Atlanta Village, Atlanta, GA
What: Sample over 130 craft beers, and visit shops and restaurants in the area
Tickets: $30 in advance $35 at the gate (if still available), VIP tickets already sold out
What you get with your ticket: an East Atlanta Beer Festival souvenir pint glass, samples of all the beer, and three live bands and DJs
