Take Your Kids Howl-in this Summer
Wolf Haven International, a sanctuary for captive-born and injured wolves in Tenino, is bringing an environmental focus to its annual summer “Howl-in” with children’s activities that are both fun and environmentally friendly.
If you’re looking for a fun family event for the kids, take a look at some of the activities offered:
- Eco-friendly arts and crafts
- Wolf education activities
- Mini-tours of the sanctuary
- Eco-scavenger hunts
- Live entertainment
- Story telling
- Face painting
- Wolf TV
To extend your Wolf Haven experience, overnight camping is offered. You can end the evening singing around the campfire, snacking on a s’more, and then crawl into your tent or RV. Coffee, juice, and muffins are provided in the morning. Camping spots are limited, and advanced reservations and payment are required.
This fun summer event makes a great family outing while supporting the efforts of Wolf Haven to protect wild wolves, provide sanctuary for captive-born wolves, and to educate the public. Wolf Haven is a non-profit organization.
