Not Affected, says Beaches of South Walton and Panama City Beach, Florida

The Beaches of South Walton and Panama City Beach, Fla., wants everyone to know they are “open for business” and ready for you to visit.

Of course, the two destinations are continuously monitoring the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. They are prepared to take immediate action when needed. If you have any further concerns or questions, you can contact Beaches of South Walton CVB or Panama City Beach CVB.

Both places has a fun-filled summer planned for visitors. Perhaps the biggest news in the area is the opening of Northwest Florida International Airport on May 23, with Southwest air service.

While at Beaches of South Walton, dip your paddle in Western Lake as you go YOLO boarding. Don’t miss Le Grande Cirque performances at Grand Boulevard at Sandestin (May 25 – August 15), Digital Alys (June 12), and performances at Seaside  Repertory Theatre are just some of their many summer events.

In Panama City Beach, view the Gulf from high above when you take a ride on the Ferris wheel at Miracle Strip at Pier Park. When it comes to summer happenings, there’s Panama City Friday Fest (first Friday of each month), Salute to Freedom (July 4), and Bay Point Invitational Billfish Tournament (July 14-18).
