17th Annual EarthFest

The Radio 92.9 EarthFest kicks off Boston’s Esplanade festival season on Saturday, May 22 from  11 AM-5PM at the DCR Hatch Shell along the Charles River  (Map). It’s a day of fun, entertainment and environmental activities . Now in its 17th year, EarthFest is a free event and  one of Boston’s largest festivals-attracting more than 100,000 people.

Wander along the Esplanade and you can listen to lots of great live rock during the festival.  This year’s headliner is Collective Soul. Other Main Stage acts include The Gin Blossoms, Crash Kings and Marcy Playground.

Get them while they’re young. EarthFest will have educational opportunities for the entire family -musical entertainment, environmental arts and crafts activities, and lots of healthy snack give- aways too.

And of course you will want to do your part to green your transportation to the concert, so be sure to take the T. The closest stations are Arlington on the Green Line and Charles/MGH on the red Line.
