Stay Current with the Latest News on the Oil Spill

thumbflickrKCcad Whether you have travel plans all ready in place for the area or a vested interest in the Gulf Coast, you’re probably looking for the most up-to-date news and information about the oil spill.

Many of the CVBs in the Gulf Coast region are providing updates, as well as news sources.

In Louisiana, log onto New Orleans’ news source, Nola.com, that includes current photos, articles and videos.

The Mississippi Gulf Coast is providing updates for their area. You can also find out more at the news site, Gulflive.com , where the latest on the spill is on the front page.

Alabama’s Gulf Coast is keeping an eye on the situation and is providing updates for visitors, and so is Mobile. Much like the other news sources in Louisiana and Mississippi, al.com has their own dedicated page on the oil spill.

The Florida Panhandle is monitoring the spill as well. Pensacola, Destin and Panama City Beach are providing information to travelers. News sources like Northwest Florida Daily and The News Herald are updating their stories as they break.

If you are active on Twitter, you can follow @GulfOilCleanUp for news as well.

Perhaps you would like to volunteer in the clean-up efforts, and if so, you can fill out an application at Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana.
