Wine and Herb at Niagara’s Wineries

All throughout May you can come down to Niagara and celebrate something the Region is becoming increasingly famous for: wine.  During all weekends in May, you can spend time exploring 22 participating wineries when you purchase a Wine and Herb touring pass. Each stop will feature a wine accompanied by a herb flavoured dish. Menus are available to view on the Wine and Herb website.

Passes cost $43 dollars, and the event runs every weekend in May from 11am to 5pm.

Several of Niagara’s most popular wineries are participating, including: Cattail Creek Estate Winery (map), Chateau des Charmes (map), Peller Estates (map), Hillebrand Winery (map), Reif Estate Winery (map), Inniskillen Winery (map), Jackson -Triggs Niagara State Winery (map), and many more!

Wineries are all within driving distance of each other, and are easy to find. However, to make it even more enjoyable and safe, it might be wise to hire a driver for the day to take your party from winery to winery. There are several transportation options available including: Niagara Classic Cabs,  Niagara Wine Tour International and Niagara Vintage Wine Tours.

Several participating hotels also have Wine and Herb packages, which include your touring pass and overnight accommodation. Available packages can be viewed and booked here. Prices start at $115.

The Wine and Herb weekends are a great way to get introduced to many of the Niagara’s Regions varied wineries. Wine is kinda a big deal here, so why not come out and experience it?
