Milhouse, A Nice Little Hostel in the Heart of Buenos Aires

If you are a backpacker or you are just travelling on a low budget, there is a great hostel called Milhouse Hostel located right in the heart of downtown, close to most of  the attractions Buenos Aires has to offer.

First of all I have to admit that I´ve never stayed there. Well, why should I? This is the city where I live!! But I got to meet people who have stayed at the hostel and loved it.

The building from outside is rather non-attractive I have to say, due to its Grey walls. But inside, in the lounge, you get the typical hostel atmosphere. Lots of people from around the world socializing and having a good time. Then, when you start going up the stairs, that’s when you get to discover its real beauty, with its ironwork, marvel-stone stairs, high ceilings, inner patio, carved-wooden doors and more, very beginning of last century´s architecture, very well preserved and maintained. The double room where my friends were staying had wooden floor, a very nice private bathroom and an antique closet.

It is an affordable place to stay, and breakfast is included. There are shared rooms as well. At the lounge area, there is a notice board where you get messages from people who called you, and also they post daily updated news regarding events and things to do in Buenos Aires.

It is located 5 blocks south of the Obelisco (obelisk). There is free Internet access, a cafeteria and pool tables. Check out their cool webpage for more info…
