Lisbon Goes Lightless Tomorrow Evening
As part of a global action, the Earth Hour, tomorrow (26th of March 2010) at 8h30pm Lisbon will turn off the lights. Hopefully the results will be bigger than last years.
This is the second year that Lisbon takes part on this action that sends a clear message of the urge to change our ways of thinking and doing. Putting off the lights for one hour is “not only contributing for the preservation of our Planet” but it’s also a way for the common citizens to express his concern about the climate changes.
National Munuments will take also part of this action – Cristo Rei, S. Jorge Castel, Electricity Museum and Padrão dos Descobrimentos are just a few of them.
In 2009, for one hour, over 4 thousand cities in 88 countries, 21 thousand companies and 1.200 million persons chose for out Planet.
So if you happen to in Lisbon tomorrow, don’t be sacared if it all turns to dark. It will be over in one hour.
