City of Sydney Council Leads Earth Hour Environmental Event

It’ll be lights out for business and homes across Sydney this Saturday night, with locals joining more than a billion people worldwide supporting Earth Hour.

City of Sydney council has sponsored the event since its inception in 2007, and it’s that dedication which has taken the message to the world. It will lead by example, switching the lights off in all council buildings at 8:30 pm on March 27.

Earth Hour looks to cut greenhouse gas emissions, fight climate change, and inspire behavioural change. I take part every year and love using the event as an opportunity to have a romantic candlelit dinner. It’s a lovely thing too look out and see so many households switching out their own lights and taking part.

Remember to do your bit and switch out your lights for Earth Hour this Saturday night!
