Tiana, One Busy Disney Princess

Disney’s newest princess, Princess Tiana, from the latest Disney animated film, The Princess and the Frog is one busy lady these days.  Princess Tiana was introduced to Disney fans late last summer prior to the release of the film, and since has been making daily public appearances.

Princess Tiana entertained throngs of guests at both Disneyland Resort in California (map) and Walt Disney World in Florida(map) as she performed “Tiana’s Showboat Jubilee” several times a day.  When this attraction closed in January, there was no resting for this hard-working gal.

Fans of the movie fell in love with Tiana for that exact reason. This hard working waitress used determination, independence and kindness to fulfill her dream of opening her own restaurant in New Orleans.  The fact that she fell in love with a prince and became a princess was just the icing on the cake.

Prince Naveen joins Princess Tiana to meet fans, sign autographs and pose for photos during  daily appearances in Liberty Square at Magic Kingdom theme park in Walt Disney World.

Disneyland guests can not only enjoy meeting the newest princess at Princess Fantasy Faire, but share in the spirit of New Orleans during performances of “Princess Tiana’s Mardi Gras Celebration”.  Filling New Orleans Square with jazzy songs from the film accompanied by the Jambalaya Jazz Band, some audience members will even be invited to play the tambourine and dance along with performers.

Starting in April, Princess Tiana will be making appearances with her fellow princesses in Disneyland Paris (map) daily parade, “Once Upon a Dream“.  Adding to the fun, Prince Naveen will join her at Town Square gazebo to meet guests while a Dixieland band performs live music.

If you run into Tiana, be sure to blow her a kiss, this hard worker deserves at least that.
