Pamper Yourself with These Chocolate Spa Treatments

February is a great time for chocolate. From Valentine’s Day to National Heart Health Month (dark chocolate is good for the ticker), February has more reasons than one to indulge your sweet tooth.

If you want to really pamper yourself, what about a chocolate spa therapy?

From massages to body wraps, chocolate can be moisturizing for the skin and also a good source of antioxidants, which give your skin that healthy glow.

The Four Seasons Chicago (120 East Delaware Place; map it) has several chocolate-inspired treatments this month, including:

- Chocolate Mint Sugar Scrub ($135) with mint- and chocolate-infused massage oils and a sugar exfoliant.

- Deep Chocolate Massage ($140) with macadamia nut and cocoa-infused massage oil.

- Swiss Chocolate and Carmel Wrap ($185) with chocolate truffle-infused oil.

Tip: Enjoy your chocolate pampering with your signficant other. The Four Seasons offers side-by-side couple’s massages.

Another Tip: Turn your massage into a weekend getaway at the Four Seasons Chicago and get a hotel credit that can be applied to your total bill. Credits range from $100 to $200 and are based on the type of room you stay in.

Spa Soak (1733 North Milwaukee Ave.; map it) takes care of your feet with its Chocolate Meltaway Pedicure using a chocolate exfoliant and a chocolate paraffin soak ($47).

Tip: Spa Soak is opening a new location in Lincoln Park this month: 2300 N. Lincoln Park West.

If you are looking for chocolate spa products to take home, check out MoJo Spa’s (1468 N. Milwaukee Ave.; map it) chocolate-themed spa goodies, including: Chocolate Truffle Body Butter and Body Dessert Edible Body Butter. MoJo Spa also has a Love Martini Soy Candle that when lit melts into a body lotion.
