What’s On Edinburgh – Happy February Edition
It’s that time again – time for What’s On Edinburgh!
February is looking up to be a fun one – here’s a few tips and suggestions for how to spend your time this week in Auld Reekie.
Go Antique Shopping. Nothing says I Love You like a good antique. The Royal Highland Centre is hosting a Antiques Fair the 13th (10-4) and 14th (10-3:30). Pictures, jewellery, housewares, and more.
Blackwell Book Group. Tonight at 6PM you can join the Blackwell Book Group at Blackwells. Fiction and non-fiction friendly.
Laughing and Dancing. Highlight is hosting Famous for Comedy. You’ll get four comedians for your delights and then the venue turns into a club afterwards. What’s not to like? 12th 8pm.
Teach Your Children to Sew. Want to teach your youngsters to sew? Kiss the Fish Studios is hosting, Mondays 4-5:30. Perfect for a late afternoon activity followed by hot chocolates in Stockbridge.
Gay Icebreakers. The Regent Bar is hosting a gay icebreakers mingling event 10th Feb 7:30-9:30.
Go to your first ceilidh. The Lot offers a beginner-friendly ceilidh on the 12th at 7:45pm. Come early for a bite to eat downstairs, dance your socks off then rehydrate at one of the nearby pubs in the Grassmarket.
Learn something…new. We round out this week’s What’s On with a bit of an off-beat tip. Head up the hill to Royal Observatory on Blackford Hill to hear about the revolutionary technology in astronomy. 15th at 7:30. Only £1.50 entry free.
