Ramirez Delicious Canning Products
Back in 1853, in a small south Portugal fishing village, Vila Real de Santo António, Sebastião Ramirez opened Portugal’s first canning company – Ramirez. Five generations and over 150 year latter, Ramirez products are exported throughout the world and they have just opened a nutrition center.
Today the factory sells over 40 different products, the most important of which are tuna, sardines, octopus, squid and mackerel. You can find tehm at any local supermarket. If you’re lucky, you may even find them at your local supermarket.
Personally, I’ve been a fan of canned tuna fish since I can remember. And I can only advise anyone to try it. I should say, though, that you have to prepare it with salad, mayonnaise or something else, otherwise it can be a bit too dry. It’s very traditional, specialy in the summer.
