Moonlight Movies in Waikiki

What better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day than with a Moonlight Movie at the Embassy Suites-Waikiki Beach Walk.  On Saturday, February 13, the hotel will host a poolside showing of Sandra Bullock’s popular romantic comedy “The Proposal” at 8 p.m.  The event is free and open to the public.  Waikiki guests can watch the film from inside the heated swimming pool on floating rafts or while enjoying cocktails and snacks on one of the resort’s chaise lounges. Viewers can order a selection of cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks during the movie, as well as an assortment of pupus (appetizers) from the poolside Pakini Bar.

You really can’t beat the location, as the Waikiki Beach Walk is one of the coolest settings, for visitors and kamaaina alike, to enjoy popular motion pictures under the stars.  The Embassy Suite’s cinema nights are quickly becoming a Waikiki tradition for holiday weekends as an added amenity for guests.

As Valentine’s Day also happens to be Chinese New Year this year, the night will kick-off with an exciting and cultural “Lion Dance” performance.  The movie will be shown on a grand 10 x 14 foot screen on the resort’s Grand Lanai.  There is, however, limited space is available, so be sure to arrive early to secure a spot.
