I Love Shamu!

Looking for something different for Valentine’s Day? Reservations are being taken now for SeaWorld’s “Valentine’s Evening With Shamu” taking place on Feb. 14.  During this special romantic affair, SeaWorld’s award-winning chefs serve a gourmet, four-course meal at candlelit tables just a few feet from the park’s magnificent killer whales.  Shamu and friends entertain diners with a mesmerizing performance during this exclusive celebration, which includes the meal, plus beer and wine, a champagne toast and a commemorative photo.  Price is $250 per couple, plus tax and includes gratuity.  To reserve a table, visit www.seaworldsandiego.com or call (800) 25-SHAMU (press 5).

If you can’t make it for Valentine’s Day.  SeaWorld is continuing the tribute to the military personal.  A tribute program that provided free admission to SeaWorld San Diego to more than 7 million members of the U.S. and coalition armed forces and their families since inception in February 2005 has been extended through 2010.  “Here’s to the Heroes” provides a free single-day admission to one SeaWorld or Busch Gardens park, Sesame Place, Adventure Island or Water Country USA for the service member and as many as three of their direct dependents, through Dec. 31, 2010.  Any active duty, active reserve or ready reserve service member, National Guardsman or U.S. Coast Guard is entitled to a free, single-day admission under the program.  He or she can register in the entrance plaza of a participating park, and show a Department of Defense photo ID.  Also included in the offer are members of foreign military forces serving in the coalitions in Iraq or Afghanistan or attached to American units in the U.S. for training.  For more information, visit www.seaworldsandiego.com.
