Big Love Show on February 14

This  the St. Valentine’s Day is on the same as the final of the Russian most popular winter fest Maslenitsa. It happened so, and many event organizations and restaurants prefer combine these two days into one. I give you a few interesting special offers in St. Petersburg and some places which are worth visiting on this day.

1. Restaurant Cote Jardin offers dessert “A pancake duet”. Pancake is a central dish of Maslenitsa. Duet is a central symbol of the All Lovers’ Day. Except from that, the menu of Cote Jardin has seven kinds of pancakes with different tastes. + there is a special program consisting of a show starting at 20.00 and five courses (if you need know which ones, e-mail me) at your choice. It costs 1800 rubles for one person.

2. Hotel Marco Polo St. Petersburg has a special idea for couples willing to visit the city on this day, “A romantic tour”. For 6490 rubles you get: a two-days accomodation, buffet service, maps of the city with underlined walking tours, a romantic supper at the hotel’s restaurant accompanied with French champagne “Maria Manhes”.

3. A mass open-air Russian Maslenitsa near the Konstantinovsky palace, the residence of the president of  Russia, about a few dozens of kilometres of the city. Easily reached on a public transport. 200 artists, sales of pancakes and other food, games in which you can take a part and many more entertainments. Not directly attached to the St. Valentine’s Day, but can be considered as a place to spend time with your boy\girl-friend.

4. Big Love Show is the name of the great discothek to be held at the Ledoviy palace at 18.00. This is a four-hour non-stop of modern pop-music with Russian and non-Russian singers and dancers combined. Entry tickets are at 800-3000 rubles.

5. Every year on the St. Valentine’s Day Russian world-famous couturiere Valentin Yudashkin presents his collection for the coming spring-summer season created  by his own company “Valentin Yudashkin” in St. Petersburg at the Concert Hall Oktyabrskiy. This year is no exception. At 19.00 for 600-7500 rubles you are invited in the world of haute couture and pret-a-porte.
