Hats Off to U.S. Military With Disney’s Armed Forces Salute

America’s military personnel will have more reasons to celebrate magical family vacations in 2010 with special offers on theme park tickets and accommodations at Walt Disney World.  Disney’s Armed Forces Salute will offer military promotional tickets, savings on option passes and discounts on stays at select Disney Resorts.

Now through July 31, 2010, active and retired U.S. military personnel, including U.S. Coast Guard, and active members of the National Guard or Reservists or their spouses can purchase:

  • Disney’s 4-Day Military Promotional Base Tickets for themselves and up to five additional family members or friends.  Base tickets may be used at one of the four Walt Disney World theme parks (Animal Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Epcot or Magic Kingdom) per day.  The price for these 4-day tickets are $99.00, plus tax.
  • Park Hopper and Water Park & More options can be added for an additional $26.00, plus tax per option, per ticket.

The Park Hopper option, when added to a  base ticket, allows guests to visit more than one theme park per day, or hop from park to park.  This can be a great option for families with members of various ages or interests as it would allow you to spend the morning in Magic Kingdom and the afternoon at Animal Kingdom, or even allow you to divide up and conquer the World!

The Water Park & More option is a ticket addition that allows guests one admission per day to either Blizzard Beach (map) or Typhoon Lagoon Water Park (map), DisneyQuest (map), the indoor interactive adventure park, Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex (map) or Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course (map) all excellent options for some enhanced R&R.

While at Disney World be sure to visit the Magic Kingdom and Town Square during the Flag Retreat Ceremony as it is sure to make your vacation unforgettable and especially moving for military families.

Now that your days are filled, how about some peaceful nights at a special discount.  Through this offer, active and retired military personnel can also save up to 40% on rooms at select hotels for most stays.

Careful and strategic planning may need to come into play, however, as rooms allocated for this special are limited, minimum length of stay may apply for Friday or Saturday arrivals, and blackout dates during peak spring break and July 4th week are in effect.

No more than six military promotional tickets may be purchased by any eligible member or their spouse and some additional restrictions apply to this offer.

  • All tickets and options must be used by September 30, 2010
  • Tickets may not be used on the blackout dates of March 27 – April 9, 2010 at any of the theme parks, nor at Magic Kingdom on July 3-4
  • Resort rates are based on two adults per room, if more than two, additional adult charges will be applied
  • Valid military ID will be required at resort check-in
