The Romantic Side to a Disney Valentine
Valentine’s Day, is a time to celebrate the love in your life with those you love. While we think of Disney as a great place to share the love with our children and families, we often forget that it is a great place for couples, too.

Strolling along Seven Seas Lagoon
A storybook setting for a fairytale romance complete with moonlit strolls, stolen kisses, romantic getaways and Valentine’s vacations, Disney Parks are, after all, the home of Cinderella and Prince Charming, Belle and the Beast, Mickey and Minnie.
From casual moments like hand and hand walks along Walt Disney World’s Boardwalk between Epcot (map) and Disney’s Hollywood Studios (map), leisure soaks in one of the many resort hot tubs, to sharing a pastry or cheese plate from Boulangerie Patisserie in a little corner of the France Pavilion, Disney is actually loaded with spontaneous romance.
Some moments, however, require a little more planning, and possibly reservations:
- Spa Treatments at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa (map) – from a wide variety of spa packages and treatments to a romantic couples massage or couples instructional massage the Spa at Disney’s Grand Floridian offers excellent options for a special Valentine’s Day gift. Contact 407-824-2332 for more information and reservations.
- Many consider the California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort (map) to be one of the most unique dining experiences at Walt Disney World. Not just because of the delicious food and atmosphere, but if you time it just right you will be treated to a fabulous view of the nightly Magic Kingdom fireworks. If your timing is a little off and dinner is over before the show, head outdoors to share a cocktail under the stars and fireworks too. For reservations, contact 407-WDW-DINE.
- Speaking of fireworks, what could be more romantic than a private cruise around the waterways of Walt Disney World with the option of ending with a spectacular view of the nightly fireworks shows. Call 407-WDW-PLAY where you can select the style of cruise, type of boat and area that you would like to cruise. Whether you would like to float on Crescent Lake to view Epcot’s Illuminations or Seven Seas Lagoon forMagic Kingdom’s Wishes, to name a few, the choice is yours.
At such a magical place the possibilities are endless for stolen moments. Just don’t let too many moments pass by before making reservations. February will be here before we know it!
