New Year’s for all

Find a spot (if you can) amongst the herds of people that will gather at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre (map) in Tsim Sha Tsui and around Victoria Harbour to catch the extravagant lights and fireworks show. At the stroke of midnight, be amazed by the pyrotechnics show on the top of Two IFC and nine other landmarks on Hong Kong Island then stand in awe of the fireworks. My perfect New Year’s Eve? A nice dinner with close friends and family at home. I’ll be catching the fireworks at a friend’s house in Mid-Levels then heading out around 2am to see what chaos has erupted and dance till the sun is up. To cap off another great year, my friends and I always end up having scrumptious English breakfasts at The Flying Pan in Wanchai. But that’s for another post on The Hong Kong Guide.

Happy New Year, folks!
