Spas and Hot Springs for a Winter Escape
From the 24th of December until after King’s Day on the 6th of January, not much is happening in Barcelona, and more or less the city is on vacation. This is an ideal time to go out of town on day or overnight trips to hot springs and spas around Catalonia.

1- Font Vella Spa and Hotel
This natural hot spring spa offers a Christmas package for 130 Euros per person. The price includes 1 night at the spa and a Christmas dinner, plus use of all the waterworks areas. The Spa is located in Girona an hour north of Barcelona

2 – Hotel Perlada Wine Spa
Wine therapy has become increasingly popular in Spain. Here’s your chance to try out wine therapy with Spanish wine in a pretty part of Catalonia’s Girona region. The spa also offers golf. Expect to pay about 200 Euros a night and up for a room at this luxurious spa.
3 – Balneario Prats – A Modernista Spa
This 3-star is not quite as high-end as La Peralada, but offers many spa treatments with natural spring water. Prices for a room at the hotel range between 150 and 200 Euros. You can also just pay to use the spa facilities.
