Imagine if those dreams began at one of the happiest places on earth.¬† All of the Disney parks will celebrate the start of a new decade, and here is a look at what’s in store, around the world:

The Disneyland Paris park invites guests to the party of the year on December 31st.

  • Witness Sleeping Beauty’s Castle lit up with 400,000 lights and transformed into a shimmering palace¬†right before your eyes.¬†
  • Step back, way back, in time¬†to a medieval town¬†complete with quaint taverns and snow covered stalls, when you visit Belle’s Holiday Village.
  • During Mickey’s Winter Wonderland, Mickey and his pals put on their ice skates in a special family entertainment event that everyone will love.¬†
  • Finally, you won’t want to miss the dazzling fireworks presentation that will¬†start the new year off with a bang. ¬†
  • The park¬†(map) will remain open for guests until 1:00 a.m.

A traditional New Year’s Eve celebration will take place at Disneyland Resort and California Adventure.¬†With fireworks, noisemakers, music and dancing¬†all included in the admission to the theme parks, guests will enjoy ringing in the New Year surrounded by family and friends.

Feeling a little hungry?¬† Several of the Disneyland Resort restaurants will be offering special New Year’s menus to dine in style.

  • Steakhouse 55¬† in Disneyland Hotel (map) offers a $65.00¬†meal featuring salad with goat cheese, roasted beets and blood orange vinaigrette, Broiled Angus filet of beef¬†, lobster tail and spinach risotto, followed by Baked Alaska.¬†¬†Dining with¬†20 or more guests?¬† Try seating in the private Oak Room for a really memorable meal.
  • Club 33,¬†will offer a choice of 3, 4 or 5-course meals with choices including Filet of Chateaubriand; artisanal cheese and California caviar tasting; and of course, my favorite, dessert trilogy.¬†
  • Guests looking for a special meal might consider the Napa Rose¬†located in Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel (map) where a 4-course meal, begins at $85.00, and a late-seating dinner including dancing will be $200.00¬†per guest.
  • PCH Grill¬†inspired by the Pacific Coast Highway, this restaurant located in Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel (map), will host a buffet ($55.00 adults/ $16.00 children) featuring a wide variety of salads, stuffed sole, roasted chicken breasts and carving stations, child friendly selections (pizza, chicken nuggets, etc.) and an array of holiday desserts.

Non-stop party action will be held at the two resort hotels, Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel (map) and Disney’s Hollywood Hotel (map), as guests will be invited to sing and dance to the music of live bands and dj.¬† There will also be interactive games and visits from Disney friends to make for a truly fun family celebration.¬†

Our New Year’s world tour ends at Walt Disney World where special dining experiences,¬†excitment and celebrations will take place in each and every theme park.

  • Animal Kingdom theme park will remain open until 7:00¬†p.m.¬†on New Year’s Eve. While¬†the animals here are wild, they are not actually party animals and really enjoy their rest
  • Disney’s Hollywood Studios¬†will remain open until midnight with live musical performances by Mulch, Sweat & Tears throughout the evening,¬†a dj spinning tunes¬†under the Sorcerer’s Hat¬†and a special¬†“Lights, Camera, Happy New Year!” fireworks show beginning at 11:55 p.m.
  • You can literally celebrate the new year¬†in several countries¬†by traveling around the World Showcase at Epcot¬†. Why not learn to say Happy New Year in a new language and¬†then enjoy a special Illuminations: Reflections¬†of Earth fireworks/laser show that¬†will take place at 7:30 and 11:40 p.m.
  • What says celebration more than a parade?¬†¬†Magic Kingdom theme park will host not one, but seven parades throughout the day as well as two fireworks shows at 8:30 and 11:50 pm.

Where ever in the World you choose to celebrate, have a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year!!
