4 Restaurants for a Holiday Meal : The Tragaluz Group

If you are spending the holidays in Barcelona and have not been invited over to Paco and Carmen’s for a Christmas Eve dinner, then you may want to consider this list of restaurants. The holidays are a time to spend a bit more for something special, and while many places will be closed for Christmas these spots will be open.

Bestial – Form the fabulous Tragaluz group, Bestial offers Italian and Mediterranean eats. Many gather here for drinks and music in the evenings.

Agua - Right on the water, this is a romantic seafood restaurant in Barceloneta. Usually I don’t like the bars and restaurants in this area, but if it’s Tragaluz, it’s good. After a meal at Agua, check out the club at Opium next door.

Komomoto - This is another brilliant Tragaluz restaurant which is a fusion of Japanese and Peruvian cuisine. Located in the Born neighborhood, Komomoto is right in the center.

Bar Lobo - Right off Las Ramblas, this is the most informal of the bunch. Here you will find typical Spanish dishes and tapas. This is a good option for drinks and a more laid-back dinner in the center of town. There is also a terrace available, but it may be a bit cold to sit outside come late December.
