Surry Hills’ Ward Park Becomes an Adventure Playground

Youngsters will have a new place to play in Sydney with the opening of the Ward Park Adventure Playground this Sunday.childhand

The park has some fantastically fun new equipment including a large climbing net, a custom play wall, swing and balance structures and a flying fox. There’s also a small bike track and skate area for kids looking for a place to cycle or ride their skate boards. The park also puts sun safety first, with plenty of naturally shaded areas for children to play and parents to sit.

To celebrate the launch, Ward Park will host Surry Hills’ annual Out Village Christmas Party from 6:30 pm on Sunday. The family entertainment includes the National Junk Band, the Latin dance music of Tijuana Cartel, and Christmas carols led by Sorelle and Santa.

How wonderful that in this urban jungle, young Sydneysiders have another place to stretch their legs and be active with their families!
