Onward and Upward…

All good things in life come to an end. If one is lucky enough, as one door closes another is right there in front of them just waiting to be opened and reveal new challenges.
That is where I find myself. Recently, I have been asked to work on several projects that will challenge me in a whole new way. I will be heading to Paris on a more permanent basis working with friends on some interesting business opportunities. As a result, I have to put aside my role here as the Paris expert for Planet Eye.
My time writing this blog has been fantastic. To watch it grow and evolve over the two plus years that I have been involved with it is just amazing. From a personal standpoint, I have grown considerably in my knowledge of Paris as I unearthed good things to pass on to you readers. I have acquired skills from a writing/blogging standpoint that I would have never guessed possible. The individuals, specifically Travel Editor Mary Jo Manzanares, here at Planet Eye are dedicated to creating a state of the art travel website and are clearly doing so. It has been a wonderful experience.
My hope for those of you who read this is that you all make it to Paris. If it is a dream of yours, make it happen. Whether you can go first class or need to put spare change in jar and start a Paris fund, do it. It’s as magnificent and enchanting and beautiful and romantic and …..it’s everything you think it might be and so much more. Know ahead of time that you will be changed forever. You will look at things with different eyes. Once back home, it will creep up from behind and catch you at the craziest moments transporting you back to that favorite little café you spent time at or to the time spent people watching in the Tuileries. If you’re anything like me, your heart will ache a tiny bit and the urge to go back will be strong. So you get that glass jar out and start with the spare change all over again.
À bientôt.
