Skating By the Sea

Want to try something different in Southern California while still enjoying the delightful weather.  The Hotel Del Coronado offers a unique experience – outdoor ice-skating overlooking the Pacific Ocean.  The beautiful Windsor Lawn is transformed into a 10,000 square foot ice rink, just steps away from the ocean.  Until December 18, three hour skating sessions from 2pm-5pm, 6pm–9pm, with special matinee skating sessions from 11am-1pm on weekends and holidays.   From December 19-January 3, 2010, all three skating sessions will be offered daily.  The cost for the three-hour session is $20* for adults and $15* for kids (ages 10 years and under).  Skate rental is $5 per person.  A portion of the skating proceeds will benefit the Make-a-Wish Foundation of San Diego.

While you are visiting the Hotel del Coronado peak inside the lobby and visit the beautiful Christmas tree.

*  The matinee session is only 2-hour session.  Must pay
