Win a Trip to Italy at 2009 Simply Italian in Miami

What? A free trip back to the old country? Why not! My bags are packed in anticipation, and my cousin Carmine will be green with envy if I ever won. But seriously…..connoisseurs of Italian fine regional cuisine will definitely want to make the trip into Miami and dine at some of the participating restaurants for the 2009 Simply Italian festival that runs from November 20 to 29.

The event is an extended celebration of Italian food, wine and culture which will bring an exciting array to Miami for a period of 10 days to all that appreciate the classic and regional cuisines of the Italian peninsula. Participating restaurants in the Miami area will be offering guests a typical fixed menu and Italian wine by the glass during the festival period. Among those Italian restaurants we already note who will be part of the event and that we have experienced first-hand and loved in the past: Driade; Pelican; Da Vittorio Restaurant & Lounge; Quattro Gastronomia. And by the end of it all, we look forward to adding more to our list of Italian favorites.

During Simply Italian, you can also look forward to various seminars, workshops and degustation which will be organized to better present the typical Italian food and beverage products and different regional food and beverage habits of Italy. Details so far on that free trip that guests can win to Italy: 20.000 copies of Simply Italian restaurant guide with a map and event program will be distributed; each restaurant will have a dedicated page with the logo, description of the cuisine, location and the menu offered during the event; guests will receive a stamp in their restaurant guide each time they stop at any of the participating restaurants; when collecting 2 or more stamps, the guests are invited to send a registration form (also found in the restaurant guide) to the organizing office who will extract one lucky winner of a trip to Italy. Additional attractive prizes (value $ 20-100) will be offered to all other participants.
