Thanksgiving Dinner for Sailors in DC

This Thanksgiving, at the United States Navy Memorial in Washington, DC, a free Thanksgiving dinner will be available for active duty, single Sailors, Marines and Coast Guardsmen who are away from their families for the holiday.

IMG_0036The Navy Memorial is also opening up their state-of-the-art and very comfortable theater and President’s Room for Navy men and women to watch and enjoy Thanksgiving college and pro football games on their massive 46′ x 16′ High-Def screen.

The Midshipmen of the Naval Academy in Annapolis are not playing on Thanksgiving Day, but the classic Army-Navy football game will be played on December 12th at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.

Donations of prepared food or volunteers to support the event are welcomed.  To donate food or volunteer, contact Cindy Collins at 202-380-0714.
