Mystery Pop-Up Wine Bar Showcases King Valley’s Best Drops in Sydney

Victoria’s King Valley may not have the profile of the Barossa or Hunter, but this fledgling wine region is creating some outstanding drops. You’ll have the chance to taste them at the King’s Vault, a mysterious pop-up wine bar. winebarrel

The thing is, we’re not sure exactly where the wine bar will be. To get all the details about the top secret inner city Sydney location, you’ll need to register on the Where Is King’s Vault? website. The organisers will contact you via an e-mail or SMS revealing all on opening night.

While we may not know the particulars, we do know about the wine. The region specialises in Italian varietals including prosecco, sangiovese, arneis, nebbiolo, and pinot grigio. These drops are the perfect accompaniment to the food served up by chefs from nearby Milawa. Winemakers from Pizzini Wines, Chrismont, Sam Miranda King Valley, and Dal Zotto Estate will be on hand to share their stories about life amongst the vines.

The open vault nights run from 6:30 to 11 pm from November 18 to 27.

  • What a potentially clever PR ploy. This could create some real buzz and get people excited and talking. Or, it could backfire and no one cares. Please let us know how it turns out!
