Get “UP” And Travel to South America

Disney/Pixar’s UP will be released on Blu-Ray/DVD and ready for home entertainment on November 10.  The movie pairs a grumpy old loner and an overly helpful, overly enthusiastic, overly talkative young Wilderness scout in an adventure of a life-time.

Filled with many life lessons, the movie takes mature topics and handles them in such a way that adults understand what is happening, but young children merely enjoy the colorful scenes.

In an attempt to fulfill a promise made to his late wife, Carl, a 78-year-old balloon salesman, ties thousands of balloons to their home and floats off to the exotic location of Paradise Falls, South America.  Set among the towering mesas, known as tepuis, this is one of the most mysterious and beautiful places on earth.

The creators of the movie wanted to show the proper look of the tepuis in the animated film.  The best way to do this would be to travel to the tepuis for a first hand look and the adventure of their lifetime.

Watching these features gives you a real insight to the movie. It makes you want to not only watch the movie again, to really enjoy the scenery, but maybe even visit the tepuis yourself in an adventure trip of a lifetime.

I enjoyed this film and watching it with my family made it an at special at home movie night.  I found the special features fascinating and while I know  that I am not in shape nearly enough for an adventure trip of this sort, but oh, would I love to try!
