“Casual Cruising” With French Country Waterways

French Country Waterways will be offering a “Casual Cruising” program in 2010 aboard its 18-passenger luxury barge Esprit.  The cruise offers fewer options but the price is more reasonable, costing $2,495 to $3,495 per person, double.

Hotel Accommodations
Guests are met and returned to a Dijon hotel before and after they board the Esprit.

Sightseeing Tours

Guests will get to take a tour the medieval Clos de Vougeot, the Chevaliers du Tastevin headquarters surrounded by vineyards dating back to the 12th century, and a private wine tasting in the town.

They can also visit charming city of Beaune, the wine capital of Burgundy, where they can visit the village’s fine specialty shops and enjoy a private wine tasting in Santenay.

Dining

All lunches and three dinners aboard the Esprit are included.  The meals include four-course candlelit dinners accompanied by wines from Burgundy and other major French wine regions.

For the remaining dinners, guests can explore the local restaurants at their own cost.
