Images of the Louvre in Buenos Aires

The traveling exhibition “Images of the Louvre: six centuries of European painting”, was presented last Saturday, October 31st. in the streets of the barrio de La Boca and it will be on display until January 31st. of next year.
The exhibition features 122 life size reproductions of paintings from the Louvre Museum in Paris, photographed in high resolution and printed on a quality material with their original frames including “La Gioconda”, of Leonardo da Vinci, and the “Altarpiece of the French Parliament”, of Dreaux Budé, among others.
“Images of the Louvre: six centuries of European painting” gathers the main works of the European painting of the XIII and XIX. All the artistic movements are represented: Primitive, Renaissance, Maniérisme, Caravagism, Classicism, Barroque, Rococo, Neoclassicism, Romantisism, and Orientalism, with works by Da Vinci, Tiziano, Murillo, Rembrandt, among others.
This traveling exhibition arrives in Buenos Aires after having visited La Habana, Santo Domingo and Montevideo, thanks to an agreement between the Ministry of Culture and the Louvre Museum in Paris, with the collaboration of the French Embassy and Alliance Francaise.LaBoca!!bRN-20Saiz-ma-P-sta-sdkhakj530
It will be presented in the neighborhood of La Boca, in the promenade of Avenida Pedro de Mendoza, from Caminito up to the old Transbordador bridge.
