California Ballet Company Nutcracker

The Nutcracker performed by the California Ballet Company will enchant you. Join Clara as Drosselmeyer sends her on a magical journey with a gallant price to a magical land of sugar plum fairies and swirling sweets.  Live orchestra with the San Diego Symphony.

The Nutcracker is the perfect way to introduce new patrons to the power and beauty of classical dance. Meet the cast at our Sugar Plum Parties after matinee performances!

The Nutcracker is a ballet in two acts. It was first performed in St. Petersburg on December 5, 1892 at the Maryinsky Theater. Lev Ivanov set the choreography to the famous score by Piotr Ilich Tchaikovsky.
