Halloween Activities at the Denver Zoo

The Denver Zoo has a fun Halloween activity for the kids that includes the great animals, a trick-or-treat safari and the chance to be a Zooper Hero. There are three events happening that sound like the perfect way to spend Halloween if your child is an animal lover.

Boo at the Zoo After Dark

This event takes place on October 30th from 6 – 9 pm. “Join Denver Zoo’s nocturnal creatures during a special night time edition of Boo At The Zoo. Enjoy trick-or-treating stations throughout the zoo while supporting Denver Zoo’s mission to provided exceptional care to our resident animals. Be a Zooper Hero and share the care this Halloween, because every time you visit you help animals.”

Ticket Prices:

Zoo Members -
$10 (ages 12 and older)
$5 (ages 3-11)
Children 2 and under are free

General Admission
$15 (ages 12 and older)
$10 (ages 3-11)
Children 2 and under are free

Boo at the Zoo

This event takes place on Saturday, October 31 and Sunday, November, 1 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. “Join Denver Zoo for a howling good time at the 25th annual Boo At The Zoo. Take a trick-or-treat safari through the zoo while gathering zoo-lic-ious goodies at more then candy 20 stations. Enjoy entertainment throughout the day from magicians and jugglers to other characters of the more hairy then scary kind.”

Bunk Before Boo! Halloween Family Bunk

On Saturday, October 31 from 6:30 pm-9 am, you can bunk at the Denver Zoo with your family. How cool is that?!

“What’s the best way to experience Boo at the Zoo?  With a Bunk on Boo Eve!  Take your kids out for early trick-or-treating on Halloween, then join us for dinner, private tours of the zoo’s nighttime beasties and creepy crawly animal encounters – lots of family fun!  Wear your costumes again the next morning for trick-or-treating at Boo at the Zoo …Bunkers get first dibs before the general public!  Families with children ages 6-12.”

Cost: Cost is $45 per member, $48 per non-member, and includes dinner, evening snack and full breakfast.

If you are looking for something fun and no the traditional trick or treating, then one of these events might be just for you!
