Buika, a true Afro-Flamenco Jazz diva of the highest caliber, recorded this new CD with Chucho Valdez in 11 hours. El Ultimo Trago offers more in the way of Cuban rhythms than the heart-wrenching flamenco melodies we are used to hearing from Concha and the result is genius and free-flowing emotion.
Coming up during this year’s Barcelona Jazz Festival, Buika will be playing the city’s best venue, El Palau. If you do nothing else this November, see Concha Buika play at Barcelona’s Modernista masterpiece, El Palau.
