Alien Invasion Hits Hong Kong Disneyland
Hong Kong Disneyland celebrates Halloween in a very un-Disneylike manner. In a real contrast to the typical family-friendly festival approach , the Hong Kong theme park’s version of the celebration is a Haunted Halloween.
The new Alien Invasion attraction is downright scary! The idea behind this walk-through attraction featured in Tomorrowland includes a trip through a spaceship and members of the Alien Intelligence Agency, extraterrestrial invaders with sinister plans. Through the tour you will encounter the unfortunate abductees under investigation by the aliens.
Other attractions making a return for the Haunted Halloween include:
- Walk through attractions like Main Street Haunted Hotel and Demon Jungle featuring scare actors
- Glow In The Park Halloween Parade with Disney villains, bat puppets and dancing devils
- Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy, which will be making its debut at California’s Disneyland this season
The Hong Kong Disneyland Haunted Halloween event runs Fridays and Saturdays through Oct. 31 and on Thursdays beginning Oct. 15. Tickets can be purchased for all-day or evening-only enjoyment.
Since I am easily frightened, I think I will happily stick to the family-friendly events!
