The Golden Age of Couture: Paris and London 1947 – 1957

 

Open since 30 May, The Hong Kong Heritage Museum has been showcasing The Golden Age of Couture: Paris and London 1947 – 1957. This exhibit offers a look at fashion throughout a decade that flourished with designers whose work was dedicated to art and innovation. Set your sights on some of the greatest works from pioneer designers Pierre Balmain, Roger Vivier for Dior, Christian Dior, Cristóbal Balenciaga and Hubert de Givenchy. This is a not-to-be-missed showcase for those fashion forward individuals who want to see the beginnings of the art of fashion.

This exquisite collection from London’s Victoria and Albert Museum opens up the legacy of haute couture during the “Golden Age” of fashion. Over 100 mannequins and 300 exhibits, including clothing, accessories and period furniture are on display till this coming MONDAY, 28 September.

 

Admission is only HK$20.

The exhibit ends on Monday, 28 September.
