Fantastic Fish Restaurant! Stay The Night If You Want.

Ristorante al Covo - Venice

Ristorante al Covo - Venice

Eating fish in Venice is one of life’s little guilty pleasures. You’ll probably pay a lot for whatever comes on your plate, but when it’s all finished it is definitely worth every cent. Sometimes you can find a good place, but sometimes you find a great place. Ristorante al Covo is one of those GREAT places.

Ristorante al Covo is both a fantastic fish restaurant but it is also a guest house, so you can stay the night if you don’t think you can possibly walk back to your place after the meal. The menu is very Venetian…all the way from the appetizers to the desserts. The prices are a little high, but then again you get what you pay for in this case.

The interior is warm and inviting and offers a soft dining experience perfect for that intimate dinner for two. Larger tables are available for larger parties. Proper dress is somewhat expected, however men can get away with some comfortable khaki pants and a polo shirt. Patio dining is available during the summer months, but make a reservation as it fills up quick.

Currently the restaurant is offering a special which consists of 1 appetizer, 1 first plate, 1 main course, and 1 dessert or cheese plate. The price is €49 that includes the cover charge; tips are at your discretion. They use no canned or frozen foods. All of their fish is bought daily and is of the freshest quality.

    Bradley and Venice friends,

I just discovered your blog and have a question about Venice. I’m planning my Italy itinerary as we speak, and was wondering about St. Marks Day (April 25th). What happens in Venice during that day? Is is crazy fun or crazy annoying? I can alter my plans so we are there that day and night, or come in the 26th instead. Would appreciate any thoughts or advice. Also I booked the La Calcina. Any red flags? Thanks!

    Good morning Emily!

Thanks for the fantastic questions. St. Mark’s Day can be a bit hectic (depending on where in the city you are). I’d love to fill you in with all the details, but there simply isn’t room on this message board. However, if you want to contact me directly please feel free to visit me at http://www.tripbod.com/expert-75.aspx

From there we can plan, build, and modify your trip to your specific wants, needs, and interests. Simply fill out the questionaire and leave the rest to me! I hope to see you in Venice soon! Ciao, Brad
